Getting Started
Technology Needs: Join Donna in your home, or wherever you are through the magic of the online meeting software, Zoom. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, and a laptop, computer, android or ipad with camera and microphone. If you want, Donna will meet with you via a test Zoom meeting and help you iron out any technical issues.
How class will happen: You will be sent an email with the yoga class Zoom link. All you have to do is click on this link and follow the instructions. Most classes will be 60 minutes long, some are shorter (45min) some longer (75min).
Needs for Yoga: You’ll need a yoga mat; two yoga blocks (or thick books, or soup cans) that can be used to extend your arms; one or two twin-size quilts or small blankets or yoga blankets to keep you warm during relaxation, or to place under your knees; don’t want to kneel, then have a card table chair, or four-legged chair without wheels or arms, and you can do a similar pose sitting in the chair; a strap or long belt from a robe for instance. Having a small cushion or two to tuck in here and there to support you is good. Sometimes a rolled towel(s) can do the trick. Sometimes you might need a chair (without wheels and arms).
To Register: Use the "Classes" menu to purchase the number of classes you want and select when. Payment can be made via etransfer or credit card. The Student Release and Waiver Form will be sent to you to complete and return (you only do this once). Then you are registered. All queries should be sent to yogaforquilters@gmail.com.
Note: Experience is not required. Flexibility is not required. "You just have to be willing to shake the dust off and see what happens." (- David Good) Yoga will give you increased flexibility and relax you too! We start where you are now.
“Person: I can’t do yoga.
Donna: That’s great, because I teach yoga to people who think they can’t do yoga.”
